Organisational Structure of the Industry

The Hospitality Industry in one of the largest sector in the internatinal business enviroment. The international hospitality industry is characterised by an industry structure composed of a relatively small number of large multinational enterprises (MNE) and a large numberof locally operated small -ad medium-sized enterprises (SME) . Geographically the industry is very widepread and dispersed,from metropolitan cities to remote rural areas. There are various ways of subdividing the industry.in the broadest sense it can be divided in ownership , e.g if an organisation is under private or public ownership. This is often related to whether the organisation will do business on a profit or cost basis. Ownership can be further divided into categories such as independent organisations, chains and franchises.
